Harness all that toe-tapping energy and dance fever! Our introduction to Hip Hop class will teach beginner techniques and choreography while allowing them to express themselves through creative movement. Children spend a good part of class time refining their techniques to master some hip hop skill sets. Adding a unique twist to the program, dancers also spend part of each class working on complementary gymnastics and stunt skills in order to emphasize poise and balance.
Hip Hop 2

Perfect for young aspiring choreographers and dance fanatics, our beginner hip hop choreography class will focus on teaching dancers how to build and create choreography with an understanding of beats and movement musicality. Dancers will explore the roots of hip hop movements to understand how to assemble sound choreography with diversely styled movements. Dancers will spend time each class creating their own choreography with movements they have mastered.
Intermediate Hip Hop
- Friday 6:30 - 7:30 pm
This class is intended for students who have had a few years of experience and have already mastered the basic moves. Students will be exposed to new moves and will be constantly encouraged to express their individuality within the class. The moves and routines in the class will be increasingly more intricate and complex which can be incorporated into their dances.
Teen & Adult Hip Hop

Looking to expand your overall dance skill set and get the party started with the latest and greatest hip hop dance moves? Our Intermediate Hip Hop class will focus on developing movement musicality. Students will be mastering spirit and style of hip hop movements. Dancers will spend time executing the specific components of hip hop movements like isolations, polyrhythmic movements, and popping. The program will also include exploration of trending dances and regional styling of hip hop dance worldwide.

Bring your toddler and dance your heart away! In this class, both you and your toddler will exercise, sing, dance, and role play. Enjoy the rhythm while getting a firsthand look at what your little one learns in class. Watch as they gain confidence and appreciate music. You and your child should wear comfortable clothing and bare feet or socks.

Sunrise Hatha Yoga

Sunrise Hatha Yoga provides a variety of asanas (postures) as we mindfully explore standing poses, backbends, twists and inversions focusing on the principles of proper alignment. We will use props to enhance our practice as we progressively and safely strengthen and lengthen the muscles.
New Therapeutic Yoga
- Wednesdays 8:15- 9:15 am - Starting on January 10, 2018
Therapeutic Yoga blends restorative yoga (supported postures), gentle yoga, breath work, and guided meditation techniques in a way that it is an excellent choice for those who need something gentle yet effective for bringing the body into balance and reducing stress. Students can expect to work on the floor and do some standing poses, but there will be props and/or chairs to assist those for whom standing is a stressor. Over the course of the session students will learn to bring breath, awareness and healthy movement into the body starting with the feet and working upward. Students of Therapeutic Yoga may benefit from improved balance, increased range of motion and reduced pain. Therapeutic Yoga is specifically designed for those students suffering from an injury, chronic pain or other condition which makes movement difficult.

Qigong is a moving meditation practice that brings balance to the body and mind by connecting thoughtful movement with deep breathing. Learn a series of gently flowing movements that will strengthen muscles and tendons, stabilize joints and quiet the mind. All levels of practitioners are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing, no mat required.

Students will be introduced to dance through the use of imagery, stories, and movement games. Exercises will focus on improving body awareness, coordination, memory and listening skills. Creative movement is based on the fundamentals of ballet. Students will learn basic movements that are appropriate for this age group in a fun and exciting way.

This class is great for ballet dancers who are just starting out. Emphasis will be placed on learning simple steps and body positions as well as music-listening skills. The class will help young children begin to realize the connection between music and movement using props and story-telling.

Students will practice basic ballet exercises to learn posture, body placement and coordination. We will explore new concepts as well as continue to improve their dance skills from previous classes.
Beginner/Intermediate Ballet UD2

This class will focus on proper body alignment, basic ballet technique, french terminology and musicality. Students will learn basic fundamentals of classical ballet. The students find it easier to retain ballet vocabulary as well as improve their coordination, strength, flexibility and balance.
Classical Ballet Technique CB1
This class is by permission of the instructor only. A minimum of 2 years of experience (taking multiple classes per week) is required. Students will establish a solid technique foundation to further develop their ability to perform classical ballet as well as other forms of dance. The prepared student has a good understanding of ballet technique and will work on enhancing their skills towards advanced technique.
Classical Ballet Technique CB2
Thursdays 6:15- 7:30 pm
This class is by permission of the instructor only. A minimum of 5-6 years of experience required. Students will have a very solid understanding of ballet vocabulary and the execution of the associated movements. This class focuses on alignment in body positions, efficiency of technique, and clarity of movements.
Teen & Adult Beginner Ballet
Ages 13 to Adult
Thursday 7:30- 8:45 pm
This class is intended for teens and adults who have not had any experience in ballet, or who have not taken classes in many years. Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet with an emphasis on posture and coordination. This class moves at the pace of its students.
Adult Intermediate Ballet
Fridays 9:30- 11:00 am (Every other week)
Emphasis is placed on dancers who have prior ballet experience and a desire to improve technical execution. This class will build from simple barre exercises to more complex phrasing with various tempos and rhythms while maintaining proper body alignment.
Musical Theatre Dance
Musical Theatre I
Kids will learn the basics of Musical Theatre dance and sing along to show tunes new and old. With an emphasis on connection, story telling and fun, students will cultivate their talents to make them confident performers on and off stage.
Musical Theatre II
Students will fine-tune their performance skills, adding flair to their favorite moves. They will also work on singing and acting, incorporating jazz technique while staying true to Broadway-inspired choreography and music.
Teen/Adult Musical Theatre
This multi-level class is designed for high school-aged teens and older interested in elevating their performance skills. Students will have the opportunity to choreograph their own pieces and explore the rich history of the Broadway dance cannon. No prior experience necessary!

Make some noise with beginner tap! Students will learn rhythm, coordination, basic tap terminology and choreography. Students will learn how to create different sounds with the different parts of their feet. Tap shoes required.
- Wednesday 6:00- 7:00 pm
Students who have learned and mastered the basic fundamentals of rhythmic tap are encouraged to take this class. The class will focus on combining tap steps to create intricate combinations. Tap shoes required.
Teen & Adult Beginner Tap
- Tuesdays 7:30- 8:30 pm
Tap dance focuses on quick movements of the feet to create a beat. Students will be introduced to basic tap dance technique, while developing rhythmic skills and musicality. Tap is a combination of Irish Step Dancing and African dance developed during the 1900s in the U.S. No experience needed. Tap shoes required.
- Friday 6:30- 7:30 pm
Jazz dance combines techniques of ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz can take on many different characteristics and styles or a combination of them. Emphasis is on the importance of energy, rhytmical accuracy and style. Students will learn the fundamentals of jazz in this class. It is recommended to take ballet classes in conjunction with this class.

Our jazz class enriches and extends students' technical skills through center and progression work. Skills such as leaps and turns are incorporated into choreographed routines. Classes focus on isolations, stretching and dance technique.
