What should I wear to Class?

Stay hydrated! You might want to bring a water bottle and towel to class.

Here are some other class specific items to bring/wear:

Yoga

  • Leather ballet slippers* 
  • Hair pinned up in bun. 

Boys

 

  • Black shorts
  • Black ballet slippers 
  • White t-shirt

Modern

 

  • Leggings, shorts or convertible tights
  • Leotard, shirt

Hip Hop

  • Closed- toed shoes
  • Sweat pants, shorts
  • T-shirt

Belly Dancing

  • Leggings or yoga pants and camisole or t-shirt
  • Bare feet, toe socks, ballet, or jazz shoes


How often are the classes?

 

All classes are once a week, however, like everything else in life, practice makes perfect so we recommend taking classes multiple times a week if possible. 

You can also request private lessons. Please e-mail us or talk to us at the front desk for more information. Pricing will vary.


What do you teach?

 

At Misako Beats, you can take a variety of classes. We have classes for everyone! some of the classes we have include Rhythmic TapBelly DancingYogaBalletHip Hop, Stretch & Conditioning  and Zumba®.  Just check out our classes here.


If I miss a class can I make it up?

 

Yes! In fact, we hope you do. You can make up a class within the session with any class of the same genre. When you come in for a make up class, please let the front desk and the instructor know. If you have any questions about make up classes, we are happy to assist you!


What's your inclement weather policy

 

If there's bad weather, just check out the front page of our website! We will also be posting on the Misako Beats Facebook page and if you call in at 443- 420-7151, our answering machine will let you know as well.


Do you do Birthday Parties?

 

Yes! We do, just ask the front desk and we will work with you to make your birthday party great! Prices vary on the number of students and the type of party.


Can my friend and I share a 10-class card?

 

Unfortunately, class cards are non-transferable. They are a way for us to benefit our dedicated students. You can, however, use the card for classes of the same type or price. For example, a student who buys a 10- class card for yoga, can also take stretch & conditioning or yoga at a different time. 


What form of payment do you accept?

 

We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.
