Ballet Lower Division
Lower Division Rates:
- Creative Movement: $70/month
- Elementary Ballet 1 through 3: $70/month
- Try out rate: $15/class
Creative Movement: Students will be introduced to dance through the use of imagery, stories, and movement games. Exercises will focus on improving body awareness, coordination, memory, and listening skills. (Students who are still ages 3 in September qualify for Creative Movement classes.)
Elementary Ballet 1: This class is for students ages 4-6 with less than a year of dance training. Emphasis will be placed on learning simple steps and body positions as well as music-listening skills. The class will help children begin to realize the connection between music and movement.
Elementary Ballet 2: This class is for students ages 5-6 with at least one full year of dance training. Students will continue to work on exercises to improve coordination, balance, and posture. Some basic ballet vocabulary and positions will be introduced.
Ages 6 -7:
Elementary Ballet 3: This class is excellent for a student still exploring dance with at least one full year of ballet training. Students will learn new concepts as well as continue to improve their dance skills from previous years. This class is excellent for a student still exploring dance.
Ballet Upper Division
Upper Division Rates:
- 1 hour Class 1x Week: $75/month

Ballet Basics 1 & 2 : This once-a-week class is designed for students ages 8-11 with little or no dance training. The students will practice basic ballet exercises to learn posture, body placement, and coordination. Students will also begin to focus on maintaining turned-out positions, coordinating the arms and simple enhancements.
Ballet 1-Beginner/Inter. : (Minimum of 2 classes per week) This class is for students ages 7 and up with at least one full year of training who wish to begin a more intensive study of ballet by committing to at least two classes a week. The students will practice basic ballet exercises to learn posture, body placement, and coordination. Students will also begin to focus on maintaining turned-out positions, coordinating the arms, and simple enchaînements. The students find it easier to retain ballet vocabulary as well as improve their coordination, strength, flexibility, and balance.
Ballet 2-Beginner/Inter. : (Minimum of 2 classes per week) Students should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience. Students ready for this class will enjoy learning more advanced ballet dance combinations to a variety of appropriate musical styles. The student will improve in strength, fluidity, extension, and musicality.
Ballet 3-Beginner/Inter. : (Minimum of 2 ballet classes per week) This class is by permission of the instructor only. A minimum of 2 years of experience (taking multiple classes per week) is required. Students will establish a solid technique foundation to further develop their ability to perform classical ballet as well as other forms of dance. Students are encouraged to begin taking a Modern dance class (if they haven’t already done so) to supplement their training. Students may begin pre-pointe classes with the permission of the instructor.
Ballet 4-Classical Ballet Technique : (Minimum of 2 ballet classes per week) This class is by permission of the instructor only. A minimum of 3 years experience (with multiple ballet classes per week) is required. The prepared student has a good understanding of ballet technique and will work on enhancing their skills towards advanced technique. Weekly pointe classes and a modern class are recommended to supplement technique classes.
Ballet 5-Classical Ballet Technique : (Minimum of 3 ballet classes per week required, ) This class is by permission of the instructor only. A minimum of 5-6 years of experience required. Students will have a very solid understanding of ballet vocabulary and the execution of the associated movements. This class focuses on alignment in body positions, efficiency of technique, and clarity of movements.
Ballet 6 & Adv.-Royal Ballet Technique : (Minimum of 3 ballet classes required, 4+ recommended): This class is by permission of the instructor only. A minimum of 6-7 years of experience required. Students will have greater body control, and a solid understanding of ballet movement. This class focuses on alignment in body positions, efficiency of technique, and clarity of movements.
Pointe classes: Pointe classes are for dedicated students who are enrolled in Ballet 4 & 5 and are deemed ready to begin pointe training by their instructor. Good attendance is mandatory for pointe work and is necessary to build strength.
Pre-point: Pre-pointe is by permission only. Students must be enrolled in Ballet 3-Classical Ballet Technique .
Point: (Minimum of 1 pointe/Variation classes a week required) Pointe classes are by permission only. Students must be enrolled in Ballet 6 or Advanced.
Modern Class Rates:
- Modern Class: $75/month
- Try out Rate: $20/class
Modern 1: This class is designed for students age 7 and up. Students will study basic concepts from Modern dance and work to increase their strength, musicality, and movement quality. Students will enjoy a range of musical styles while learning and practicing Modern dance movements.
Modern 2: Student’s readiness for this level will be determined by the instructor. Students will study concepts from Modern dance and work to increase their strength, musicality, and movement quality. Greater control and ability to dance as part of a group are highlights of the learning in this class.
Modern 3-5: This class is by permission of the instructor. Students will expand their knowledge of Modern Dance movement and vocabulary and study topics such as improvisation, partnering, and performance qualities. Students will learn basic choreography techniques. Successful students often have two years of ballet as background.
Modern 6 & Advanced: This class is by permission of the instructor. Students will expand their knowledge of Modern Dance movement and study topics such as improvisation, partnering, and performance qualities. Successful students often have two or more years of ballet as background.
New Hip Hop this fall 2018
Perfect for young aspiring choreographers and dance fanatics, our beginner hip hop choreography class will focus on teaching dancers how to build and create choreography with an understanding of beats and movement musicality. Dancers will explore the roots of hip hop movements to understand how to assemble sound choreography with diversely styled movements. Dancers will spend time each class creating their own choreography with movements they have mastered.
