Misako Ballet Studio is located in Columbia Maryland and has been around for nearly 20 years. Founder and owner Misako Aoki has trained with The Royal Ballet School in the UK and Matsuyama Ballet in Japan. This classical training coupled with her passion for dance as an art form and her Japanese culture, informs Misako's beliefs that dance is a foundation for strong self discipline, confidence, poise and healthy self-expression. Misako’s decades of experience in ballet also can be seen in her stunning choreographies for her performing company, Misako Ballet Company, a separate nonprofit organization which has performances across Howard County throughout the year.

At Misako Ballet Studio, we pride ourselves in providing our students with a superb dancing experience, the benefits which carry over in all areas of their life.

We train students primarily in ballet which is the foundation of all dance, but also offer classes in contemporary dance and pilates at this studio.

As a dancer you can experience so many rewards; freedom, flexibility, toning, increased self confidence, body conditioning, mastery and self expression. All while having fun!

At Misako Ballet Studio we are committed to excellence. We treat each student as the unique individual they are and encourage group support and affirmation. No matter your age, lifestage, body type or condition, everyone can dance and experience the sheer joy and fulfillment movement with music brings.

I love dancing at this studio. My teachers are always kind, thoughtful, and dedicated and I learn a lot every class. I have made some of my best friends here. I look forward to my classes because of the supportive environment combined with the opportunity to express myself. I have had tons of fun dancing here and I look forward to continuing :)
