At Misako Ballet Studio, we’ve created a unique environment for joyful, driven dancers. Our focus is in ballet, and our students progress in their technique, because there’s a deeper knowledge behind every movement.
In class, we explain every step in detail, breaking down as much as possible to help our students understand why & how we do these steps. Our students can explain how the steps are structured and executed.
Ballet requires hours of practice, and we spend so much time together at the studio. It’s important to me that our dancers have fun, and remain supportive and kind to one another while they work to improve.
The discipline and detail young dancers learn in ballet class will impact their achievement in school and in life. With a foundation of smart, safe technique, our students are free to express their feelings through dance with joy.
Classically Trained Instructors
All of our instructors are carefully selected for each class and have accrued valuable experience in ballet and dance. Many of our ballet instructors have performed for various professional companies. Together, Misako Dance instructors create a team of professionals who love what they do.
Low Instructor to Student Ratio
We provide a fun and warm environment. We're also focused on helping children learn self-discipline and essential life skills. Our low teacher to student ratio allows our instructors to create a customized dance experience.
We want our students to look and feel special in their costumes. We choose costumes to match the stories of our ballets. Misako Dance has a large variety of unique dance costumes that students rent for recitals. This allows our growing dancers to enjoy wearing high quality costumes while staying budget-friendly.
Professional Sprung Floors
Our students at Misako Dance are taught in state-of-the-art dance studios complete with authentic sprung action floors. This ensures that our students have the best in safety and comfort at a professional level.
Student Performance Opportunities
Zumbini & Creative movement classes
Our youngest students participate in informal classroom showings for their families.
Lower Division and Upper Division dance classes
Students have 2 performance opportunities during the year, the Holiday Concert (held at the studio) and the Spring Performance (held at the Jim Rouse Theatre). Performances give our students a chance to showcase their hard work and to experience the excitement of bringing a story to life on the stage.
Sr Student Company and Jr Student Company
Students who are accepted into a student company have additional performing opportunities alongside our professional non-profit company, Misako Ballet Company. Students may take part in a professional performance in February as well as in several festival and community performances throughout the year.
